چکیده :
In high power high voltage application BLDC motor are widely used because of higher efficiency and higher torque or high output power per unit volume. For driving the BLDC motor an electrical inverter is required. In two level inverter there are problems of harmonics distortions, electromagnetic interference, higher dv/dt, etc. The increase in the number of steps in voltage is one of the solutions for the mentioned problems. This paper proposes a new MPC algorithm to reduce the number of calculations for multi-level CHB inverters, in which only three voltage vectors are considered as optimal vectors regardless of the level of CHB inverters. Also, this paper provides a comparative study between two control schemes of BLDC motors: control of BLDC motor fed by five-level cascaded H-Bridge Inverter using a MPC approach and control of BLDC motor fed two-level voltage-source inverter. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed on the results obtained with each control scheme.
