چکیده :
This paper compares DC motor speed control using a PI (Proportional Integral) controller optimized by a PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm and a fuzzy-PID controller. A new buck-boost DC-DC converter with characteristics including continuous low-ripple input current, reduced voltage stress on switches, and semi-quadratic voltage gain supplies the motor. The structure of this converter can enhance system efficiency and minimize power switch losses. Simulation results indicate that the fuzzy-PID controller achieves shorter settling time, lower overshoot, and enhanced stability in the speed of the motor compared to the PI-PSO controller. However, the PI-PSO controller provides a faster response time than the fuzzy-PID controller. Moreover, the fuzzy-PID controller, combining fuzzy logic rules with a PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller, exhibits better adaptability to sudden system torque changes and uncertainties, thus providing stability enhancement.
