چکیده :
In this paper, a Predictive Functional Controller (PFC) is proposed for the Buck converter in an Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) system. AMBs have several advantages over conventional bearings, but they can lose magnetic force in the event of a power failure, which can lead to damage to the rotor and backup bearings. To enhance the reliability of the AMB system, a Power Failure Compensation Control (PFCC) algorithm using a Buck converter is introduced. The PFCC algorithm compensates for power failures by utilizing the motor as a generator when power is lost. The back electromotive force (back EMF) generated by the motor is rectified by anti-parallel diodes in the inverter. Simultaneously, a Buck topology is employed to convert the voltage from the DC-bus of the inverter into the supply voltage for the AMB system. In situations where the motor speed is too low to provide a sufficient back EMF for the Buck topology, the switches of the inverter are used to boost the DC-link voltage with the motor windings. Additionally, a hybrid controller that combines the Predictive Functional Controller with a PID compensator is proposed to improve the transient response of the Buck topology. Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed PFCC algorithm and demonstrate its ability to compensate for power failures in the AMB system. The outcomes highlight the improved reliability and performance achieved through the integration of the Buck converter and the hybrid controller.
