چکیده :
The uses of brushless DC motors (BLDCM) have grown in industrial applications like tape and disk drives for computers, robotics and positioning systems, and aircraft in the last few decades. This is because of many BLDCM benefits such as low inertia, fast response, high power density, and high reliability. BLDCM drive systems are normally fed with hard-switching pulse-width modulation. This will cause many disadvantages such as high switching loss, high electromagnetic interference (EMI) and acoustic noise. To overcome these problems, many soft-switching inverters have been designed. Unfortunately, they have other drawbacks like high device voltage stress, large DC link voltage ripple, and complex control schemes. This paper proposes a new resonant pole inverter, specialized for the BLDCM drive system, which works with the minimum amount of components. The inverter has the benefits of low switching power losses, low switching noise, a simple control scheme, and no unbalancing problem of neutral-point voltage. The operation principle of the inverter is analyzed, and then simulation results are proposed to verify the theoretical analysis.
