Effect of Slot and Pole Combination on the Efficiency of a Permanent Magnet BLDC Motor

چکیده :
This paper addresses the demand for efficient, power-dense propulsion motors by focusing on strategies to reduce power losses. It presents an initial outer-rotor PMBLDC motor design, analyzes its efficiency, and examines two alternative slot/pole combinations (24s28p and 24s20p). The findings indicate that the 24s28p configuration improves efficiency and reduces copper losses compared to the other designs. However, it also leads to higher core and eddy current losses, which could be minimized with targeted design adjustments.
