چکیده :
This paper presents a comprehensive study on the role of flux modulators in the torque characteristics of magnetic gears, with a particular emphasis on torque ripple as a primary concern. Various configurations of the modulator geometry in the Phi direction for a coaxial magnetic gear were simulated. All proposed modulator structures maintain essential features of the basic design, such as simplicity and robustness, as the inner and outer rotors, along with the permanent magnets, remain stationary in the design process. Only the fixed modulators are geometrically altered, while the inner and outer shafts are set to rotate in opposite directions. A transient 2D finite element method and sensitivity analysis will be utilized to identify the optimal configuration among the proposed designs. The selected topology will then be compared with the basic assembly to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in optimizing flux modulators.
